GOAL Study of multi-node underwater acoustic communication and localization
Due to Covid-19 pandemic tests originally foreseen in the Arctic were performed in Fiumaretta, Liguria, where the area of Magra river is characterised by mixed fresh and salt water. Proteus AUV operations were supported by the use of the NAvComm surface buoy developed in the Interreg Maritime Italy-France project MATRAC-ACP. Performance of multi-node underwater network in very shallow water was verified.
