Summer@LSTS

Fifteen research initiation scholarships were awarded to students to participate in the summer school "Introduction to Robotics for applications in Ocean Observation, Archaeology and Ecosystem Mapping", promoted by LSTS - Underwater Systems and Technology Laboratory, at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto.

The goal of this program is to create the opportunity for college students to integrate for 3 months work teams involved in ongoing projects of scientific and technological development. The expected outcome is for these students to acquire expertise in marine robotics, more specifically in applications for ocean observation, archaeology and mapping of ecosystems.

This course will have an intensive experimental component and will take place between August and October. Each enrolled student will be integrated in a research group to develop the summer school activities.
